Grand Oaks Elementary Kindergarten Teacher 2003-present

I grew up in Clinton and attended Clinton City and Anderson County Schools.  I am the youngest of three children and the only girl.  I have a large extended family... my grandparents had 15 kids!  I am married and have a son and a daughter.  My family enjoys camping, bike riding, hiking, and attending church.

I wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember.  I spent many hours teaching my stuffed animals with a chalkboard propped on a wooden easel that my dad built for me.  I love teaching Kindergarten, because the students are so happy to be at school and ready to start the adventure of learning.  There is so much growth in this one short year.  Some kids come to Kindergarten unable to write their names, but before too long, they are writing complete stories!  Kindergarten is an exciting place!
